The Old Bakery on 8th Gallery & Cafe in Maylands combines a gallery of stunning Western Australian art & fine craft with a delightful cafe boasting a relaxing garden for sunny days and heated courtyard for winter warmth. With a casual friendly ambience, fresh herbs from the garden, excellent food and coffee beside a treasure-house of fine art and craft its an attraction for corporate and personal customers.

The retail section of the Gallery specialises in sourcing and supplying high quality Western Australian fine arts and craft items: ceramics, glass, wood, textiles, jewellery paintings, photographs and prints. In addition, monthly exhibitions range from solo exhibitions through to large group exhibitions.

In the Cafe all food is cooked fresh on the premises and special dietary needs are catered (vegetarian, gluten-free etc). The cafe is open for breakfasts, lunches, coffee and cakes and bookings are taken for special functions including after hours events combining cafe and gallery spaces. The Cafe is also extended into the Gallery when winter weather sets in.

The Old Bakery on 8th is located close to Perth CBD and easily reached by rail, bus or car along Guildford Road. It is housed in an  old building of historic interest with the original baker's oven still in situ.
